j4j’s comment about all forex robots eventually failing is interesting.At first I thought “That Makes since.” but as I continued to think I started to change my mind.

I believe that forex systems are based on analysis of historic data and predictions based on the the relationship between events. It’s strictly analytical and as long as the rules stay the same the same systems based on these criteria should preform the same in a 100 years as they do today.What these robots and indicators can’t include is the human factor.

The human, emotional, factor involved in the market can never be predicted by an EA. The nonlogical herd mentality, fear, anti trend, attempt to time, elements that humans poses is not equatable and therefor the EA’s can not predict.

Forex robots should act the same at all times. Humans will not. EA’s will function on the data they are programmed to analyze. My mood can effect how I react to the same situation on two separate occasions.

Why would a bot eventually fail all things being the same?

We have a new contender. Today was the first time I have heard of  Dean of the LTM Forex Formula, but then I’ve been busy with work lately and have been away from my forex duties.

Anyone know Dean Sanders? Anyone familiar with his LTM Formula?

According to his L M T Profit Plans he has put his trading strategies into a training program and is now marketing it. Refreshing after the line of robots that have hit the market lately. I would welcome a training program, being a forex noob I have a lot to learn.

Not sure what Dean’s LTM Forex Forex Formula involves but I’m looking. Here’s a brief explanation.

Dean Sanders LTM Forex Forex Formula

L M T Stands for Low Maintenance Trading, L M T is the concept behind Dean’s most successful and profitable trading methods. It is a combination of everything he has discovered over the 9 years of trading forex. He has a free paper that you can download here, L M T Profit Plans.

Dean believes that using the L M T methods anyone can learn to trade forex profitably,so he decided to put his theory to the test. Dean created a small group of  struggling forex traders and set about teaching them exactly how he trades the forex markets. He showed them every aspect of his forex trading system.

After 1 month the results were astounding, every single student in the group was trading successfully. 2 month later some students were at a point where they would be confident in trading full time for a living. Others were happy just using forex trading as a second income.

We seem to have a marketing battle going on between two recently released robots. I don’t mean that they are directly slugging it out between each other rather they are pounding me, and others i assume, with emails with headlines like, holy %*^, stupid crazy, gangbusters, and others.

Triadn and Maestro both started their hype about the same time and are running through the same marketing cycle. If you receive the eamils I’m sure you have noticed similarities; they were so overwhelmed with orders/response their servers crashed, they are nearly sold out so hurry, huge profits in the first few days, etc.

They all look and sound the same. Even their web sites are cut from the same fold.

These guys need to learn that in the long run crap marketing brings crap results.

It’s fun to watch. If you haven’t take a look.

Action with FAPTurbo and Forex MegaDroid continues to be….interesting. Last night was a fairly active FAPT night with a couple accounts while another made no trades. The question again arises Why? Why do the same robots act differently depending on the broker?

First note, I removed both FAPT and MegaDroid from my live account. I have lost too much money with them and until I have more time to discover why I’ll keep them on my demos. For both bots settings are default except for the needed changes to server GMT offset and risk level.

The LiteForex (REALForex) demo account had gains of $10.21 with Forex MegaDroid and a loss of $1.13 on two trades with FAPTurbo.

ForexMeta, the broker* most recommended by both FAPTurbo and Forex MegaDroid made no trades. Curious.

FxPro currently has three open FAPTurbo trades! No MegaDroid trades last night.

That’s the quick update for this morning. I want to see how these and other robots preform over a long period. The couple of months I’ve ben running them leaves me questioning their usefulness, atleast fulfilling my desires. But over 6-8-12 months will they preform well? will they make even 10%. They certianlly don’t live up to their producers claims for me.
